Good morning. I’m back. I didn’t want you to think I forgot about you or my blog. We are back at Proud Lake Recreation Area in Wixom. The campgrounds have been fairly empty during the week days and then fill up for the weekends. Now that the kids are out of school we should be seeing more families camping during the week.
We are just about done with all the doctor visits. Yah. It seems that’s all we do is make our plans around a doctor visit or test. It will be nice to put this stuff behind us and be able to make our plans for the fall and winter.
We have no idea where we are going or what we will be doing once we leave here. We know we will be visiting with our children in Ohio, Kentucky and Illinois. We don’t know in what order, but we do know that is where we will be heading. After that it is all up in the air.
We would love to go through the mountains but neither of us are comfortable with the driving we’ve done so far on the nobs and big hills. I don’t know how we would ever drive through anything higher. Our motorhome is not diesel. We have a gas engine and we tow our car. We are afraid we would asking to much of Winnie’s engine to go up and down the mountains. We just don’t know.
We have enjoyed some really nice summer weather. It’s funny that wherever we went on our winter adventure we didn’t have the nice weather we were hoping for. We kept hearing “this is the worst winter we’ve had in years”. Now that we are back where we started we are finally having beautiful days. We have had some rain, some cooler days and some very hot days but for the most part we have had perfect summer days.
We are sorry to hear about the flooding and heavy rain they had in some of the areas of Texas we visited. Our friend Steve told us they got 10″ of rain in a very short period of time. That is a lot of rain!
I have been able to get my reading fix in. I am now on “P” is for Peril of Sue Grafton’s Kinsey Millhone series. I will hopefully be able to complete the alphabet before we leave here.
Well, that’s about it for now. Have a nice weekend. Loving our lifestyle.
Until next time,
Kathryn
